So the thing with eating plant based, natural food is that sometimes, you catch yourself in desporado situation where you want, no NEED, chocolate but the average convenience store isn’t like to sell raw, sugar free, vegan chocolate – how inconvenient, am I right?! So there you are, alone, chocolateless and filled only with a deep sense of complete despair. Well luckily you don’t have to suffer in silence anymore! Here is a recipe for chocolate which is super easy to make, only has 3 ingredients and is 100% natural, oh baby.
On this occasion I have used some of the chocolate to make chocolate covered strawberries but the recipe also explains how to set the chocolate into bars.
100grams organic cacao powder
1/4 cup coconut oil
4 tablespoons of agave syrup
Melt the coconut oil in the microwave until melted, about 20/30 seconds depending on your microwave.
Pour the melted oil into a large bowl and stir in the cacao powder.
Next, mix in the agave syrup.
To make chocolate bars
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Pour the chocolate over the paper and spread into a thin layer.
Put the tray into the fridge or freezer.
Once set, cut the chocolate into bars or chunks and keep in a air tight container in the fridge.
To make chocolate covered strawberries
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Finely chop up the hazelnut and place to once side.
Dip the strawberry into the chocolate and then into the chopped hazelnuts.
Place the strawberries into the lined tray and put into the fridge to set.
