Hi! Thanks for checking out my blog. I live, study and work in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am currently in my final year of Naturopathic Nutrition at the Collage of Naturopathic Medicine and will be fully qualified and taking on clients in Autumn 2019.

I created Michaella’s Kitchen after I discovered the impact that food had on my chronic pain condition, fibromyalgia – You can read more about that in this article I wrote called What it’s like to have Fibromyalgia: My Story. Over time, I am learning more and more about how to manage my condition and it is my goal to help as many people as possible who suffer with a chronic condition and those who just want to improve their general health!

I initially created the blog to share refined sugar free recipes but the website has evolved to include lifestyle and wellness content about mental health, sugar, fibromyalgia and chronic illness. Since I’m a student and don’t always have the time and energy to dedicate to cooking, all my recipes are quick, easy and simple. I try to keep them as low cost as possible, too!

I have a love of painting watercolours so in the Illustrations page you can see some of my recent paintings.
